The Arctis Nova Pro Wireless has the potential to be a great everyday pair of the best lightweight headphones for gaming most loved, and to go to work or attend Zoom meetings, thanks to its understated style and high-quality construction.

We tested the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless for a week to see whether it lives up to the hype.

What we don’t like

AI noise canceling is a bit weak at the moment

Infinity Power System – With the Infinity Power System, you may use one battery while charging the other, allowing your headset to operate indefinitely. Connect and switch between your computer, Mac, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch with ease thanks to its dual USB connections.

Dual Audio Streams – Support for two audio streams at once, allowing for in-game voice conversation with buddies. Use Bluetooth for your phone, Discord, music, and podcasts without interrupting your lag-free 2.4GHz gaming.

AI-Powered Noise-Cancelling Mic – The ClearCast Gen 2 mic, powered by Sonar Software’s potent AI algorithms, can eliminate background noise within minutes, allowing for crystal-clear communications. The microphone may be concealed entirely inside the earpiece. System prerequisites: Operating Systems: Windows 8.1+, Mac OS 10.13+

Frequently Asked Questions about the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless

How is the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless?

The Arctis Nova Pro Wireless is a well-built, comfy headset with a modified ski-goggle-inspired headband. Other SteelSeries headphones employ gravity-based headband suspension. Using snapback headset pins, this one lets you modify band height differently.

Despite the wireless headset’s weight, the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless fits well on my head. Metal and plastic are robust. Faux leather ear cushions feel fantastic, but heat up after an hour or two. The left ear cup conceals a microphone.

The headset’s wireless base station makes it great. The base station has two USB-C ports and a slot for charging the hot-swappable headset battery. The wireless base station has a black and white OLED display and wheel to handle all headset software capabilities, including a 10-band EQ and game/chat mix balancing.

How do you control the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless?

Both ear cups of the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless include easy-to-use controls. The microphone mute, volume slider, and power/active noise cancellation switch are on the left ear cup. Bluetooth pairing is on the headset’s right. SteelSeries does a good job of distinguishing these controls, which helps novice users.

How does the SteelSeries GG software work?

For software upgrades, the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless comes with SteelSeries GG (Windows/macOS). SteelSeries GG lets you record games and modify audio settings with the Moments and Sonar suits. The accompanying app is elegant, and Sonar Audio lets you pick a game, chat, and mic audio sources with a few clicks. Sonar Audio’s EQ presets and custom ones behave weirdly with the base station.

After installing GG and upgrading the wireless base station, Sonar’s audio channels may be adjusted independently. Great. Changing the game/chat balance requires software, but it’s easy. Sonar’s EQ replaces the wireless base station. The base station will lose custom EQ control; therefore, you’ll need to alter it in Sonar Audio.

The older SteelSeries Engine can still alter EQ, even though Sonar is the current method. Sonar should be modified to operate with the wireless base station’s EQ.

Is the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless gaming-friendly?

The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless is a great gaming headset. We played numerous games, including Europa Universalis IV, to measure comfort. Elden Ring and Fallout 4 sound great on the headset. Late-night Discord hangouts and marathon gaming sessions benefit from the microphone’s ease of use and long-term comfort.

How well does the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless block out noise?

The closed-back and durable SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless features excellent noise isolation without active noise cancellation. This headset is great for rowdy gamers thanks to active noise cancellation (ANC). With ANC on, even room-level conversations are hard to hear, and AC units and traffic seem half as loud.

How does the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless sound?

Arctis Nova Pro Wireless offers a strong frequency response. This headset emphasizes bass at 100Hz and dips about 4kHz compared to our ideal consumer curve. The tight 8kHz peak and high-end roll-off starting at 10kHz aren’t audible unless you’re sensitive to them. Its frequency response isn’t ideal, but it makes games and music sound great.

Lows, mids, and highs

Queens of the Stone Age’s No One Knows guitars match this headset’s frequency response nicely, with a crisp high-end, and distinct bass guitar. The Strokes’ Reptillia’s “hissy” hi-hats and cymbals don’t match this headset’s high-end response. The headset properly reproduces the deep bass instruments and high strings of Beethoven’s 7th Symphony’s second movement. The headset’s low end enhances The Chemical Brothers’ Block Rockin’ Beats’ bass.

The retractable microphone is simple to take out and adjust for the best sound. When muted, it rests flush with the ear cup and lights up red. The microphone’s responsiveness is tuned for communication and rivals gaming headset microphones. It covers the important speech range with a smooth slope up to 3.5kHz and a dramatic dropoff of about 6kHz. High-frequency pre-emphasis aids intelligibility.

Should you buy the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless?

The Arctis Nova Pro Wireless, however expensive, has several unique features and comes highly recommended. This headset has great sound, noise cancellation, comfort, and a hot-swappable battery. The wireless base station distinguishes it from other gaming headphones and improves gameplay. The Arctis Nova Pro Wireless is well-designed enough to serve as a gaming headset or everyday headphones.

The inexpensive SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro offers a similar experience without a wireless connection. SteelSeries Arctis Nova 7 Wireless is significantly cheaper. This gaming headset employs the Nova Pro Wireless chassis but is cheaper. The Nova Pro Wireless wireless base station’s functionalities are missing, but the battery life is 41 hours. The Arctis Nova 7 Wireless supports SteelSeries Engine and Sonar.

What should you get instead of the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless?

The EPOS H3PRO Hybrid should be your first choice when looking at alternative wireless gaming headphones. This headset rivals the quality of the more expensive Arctis Nova Pro Wireless for around the same price, plus it offers enhanced compatibility with Xbox platforms.

SoundGuys’ go-to budget gaming headset choice is the Razer Barracuda X, which costs a third as much yet offers comparable performance and functionality. Lastly, SteelSeries has additional products you may be interested in, such as the Arctis 7+ Wireless, which has a headband reminiscent to ski goggles.

Conclusion

SteelSeries Arctic Nova Pro wireless review. Overall, the SteelSeries Arctic Nova Pro Wireless is an excellent gaming headset that offers a premium audio experience. The headset has a sleek and modern design, with a comfortable fit that can be customized to your liking. The sound quality is top-notch, with powerful drivers and DTS Headphone:X 2.0 technology that creates an immersive audio experience. The bidirectional microphone is also a standout feature, with clear and accurate voice capture that filters out background noise. With up to 20 hours of battery life and a

Hi, my name is Tina Cavell, and I own Recommend Headphones. I started my first post on Recommend Headphones in 2016. At that time, I had a day off at school and just wanted to share my thoughts about some products I had bought. I was super excited with all the ideas and thoughts inside my head to write that first post. The reason why I chose headphones is that I love the feeling when listening to music with a headset. Another reason comes from people around me.
