1. SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless Multi-System Gaming Headset
[amazon box=”B09ZWCYQTX” template=”horizontal”]SteelSeries’ Arctis Nova Pro wireless gaming headphones is completely different from prior versions. Audio, quality of life, elegance, and craftsmanship. Latin means nova. For cutting-edge games, you’ll pay more.
At the price, SteelSeries wants you to use the Arctis Nova Pro for everything, not just gaming. The multi-system connect option, which connects two devices through 2.4GHz wifi and Bluetooth, wins. SteelSeries’ ability to listen to a podcast on your phone, switch off the Wi-Fi, and leave is unique.
SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless Multi-System Gaming Headset, Superior Hi-Fi Drivers, Active Noise Cancellation, Infinity Power System, ClearCast Gen 2 Mic, PC, PS5, PS4, Switch, Mobile, Two hot-swappable lithium-ion batteries make the headset even more portable. The ESS Sabre Quad-DAC or headset-connected USB Type-C charges them in about an hour. I’ve only had to replace batteries after two and a half days of full use in the month I’ve owned it.
The PlayStation and Xbox DACs are well-designed (each one is somewhat different) and keep many of these choices close at hand so you may alter them in-game without alt-tabbing. Each has 3.5mm line in/out and two USB Type-C ports for a “first in gaming” multi-system connection, so you can always connect your PlayStation 5 and PC.
You could pay $100 on a lesser gaming headset but lose the Nova Pro’s untethered, excellent connection and pure craftsmanship, or you could buy an exceptionally high-spec gaming headset that’s been purposefully created considering prior generations’ successes and failures. I’d rather spend $350 and permanently connect the Nova Pro to my cranium.

2. HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless
HyperX Cloud Alpha Wireless – Gaming Headset for PC, 300-hour battery life, DTS Headphone:X Spatial Audio, Memory foam, Dual Chamber Drivers, Noise-canceling mic, Durable aluminum frame, The headset’s new large battery is its major appeal. Wireless mode offers 300 hours of battery life while keeping the headset light and comfy. HyperX accomplished a huge achievement.
Games have great directional sound. Deep Rock Galactic’s directional beeps helped me find concealed batteries, while Shadow Warrior 3’s tight rhythms were fun. I panicked after loading Doom Eternal. They may simulate a Cacodemon appearing and whispering nice blah things into your left ear.
300 hours of wireless gaming: Play for weeks without charging. The quick 2.4GHz connection allows wireless freedom without compromising audio quality. Overall, these wireless gaming headsets should please most customers. They’re expensive, but their specifications make them worth having for PC gaming and music.

3. Beyerdynamic DT 900 PRO X Open-Back Studio Headphones

Beyerdynamic DT 900 PRO X Open-Back Studio Headphones with Stellar.45 Driver for Mixing and Mastering, Unlike other open-back headphones, the DT 900 Pro X has punchy music. This STELLAR.45 driver smacks anything you’re listening to. Snoop Dogg’s bass beats and classical sonnets sounded great.
Beyerdynamic’s new DT 900 Pro X Studio headphones aren’t gaming headsets (opens in new tab). No mic, USB, RGB, or sophisticated haptics. An audio engineer who masters game music and cues is more likely to have them. The DT 900 Pro X’s strengths for critical listening, mixing, and mastering also make it ideal for gaming.
Gaming headsets feature everything but a mic. The spring steel headband contains memory foam cushioning and clamps the muffs to your head, providing a good sound barrier despite the open back. The velour earpads are very comfy. After a few days of stretching, they’re ideal for me. Be aware. Performance and reliability meet.
The open-back DT 900 PRO X from Beyerdynamic lets your imagination run wild. The new PRO series is versatile for studio and road usage. A creative who wants to work on music wherever and hear studio-quality sound needs the DT 900 PRO X.

4. Razer BlackShark V2 Gaming Headset: THX 7.1 Spatial Surround Sound – 50mm Drivers
Razer BlackShark V2: THX 7.1 Spatial Surround Sound – 50mm Drivers Detachable Mic PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, Series X & S, Mobile 3.5mm Audio Jack & USB DAC, Use the Razer BlackShark V2 if esports is everything. Incredible audio, mic clarity, and sound isolation. Turn pro with titanium-coated drivers, a USB sound card, softer ear cushions, and THX Spatial Audio. -42 dB V/Pa, 1 kHz.
The BlackShark V2’s audio quality is surprising for a $100 headset. If I’m being fussy, the HyperX Cloud Alpha has a bit more separation of the upper frequencies, especially when the THX software is active, but the BlackShark V2 has a richer midrange and velvety bottom.
Removing the HyperX Cloud Alpha from the top slot was difficult. Razer’s BlackShark V2 gaming headset has superb audio, a low price, and simple software. From Razer’s original announcement of the BlackShark V2, it was apparent this was the headset’s major emphasis, and the drivers’ design mimics the Cloud Alphas’.
Separate ports on the 50mm TriForce Titanium drivers keep bass, mid, and treble tones from interfering. HyperX’s 50mm dual-chamber neodymium driver headset sounds better than a normal set. They’re an homage to HyperX’s design.

5. Corsair HS55 Stereo Gaming Headset
Corsair HS55 Stereo Gaming Headset (Leatherette Memory Foam Ear Pads, Lightweight, Omni-Directional Microphone, PC, Mac, PS5/PS4, Xbox Series X | S, Nintendo Switch, Mobile Compatibility) Multi-Platform Compatibility: Play on PC, Mac, PS5/PS4, Xbox Series X | S, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices via a 3.5mm connector, with an included Y-cable adapter for nearly any PC. Being a 3.5mm wired headset, your motherboard’s DAC/amp or sound card/external device may damage the microphone and audio quality. Even the cheapest motherboards offer good audio these days but consider your whole audio system.
Corsair’s cheap headsets are less comfortable than the HS55. The HS55’s velvety earcups contrast with the HS50’s hard foam. The 284g HS55 is lighter, which improves long-term comfort. I wore this pair for a week, eight hours a day, without wanting to take them off. The leatherette material makes them sticky on hot days, but that’s a frequent issue with gaming headphones in this price range.

Best lightweight headphones for gaming top best seller FAQ
Gaming headsets require what?
Choose a gaming headset carefully. Comfort comes after pricing and sound quality. Most of these headsets include noise-canceling microphones, which are essential for coms. You want good speech quality and a microphone that won’t pick up every mechanical keyboard key press.
For gaming, wired or wireless headsets?
It’s personal taste, but if you’re going wireless, look for good battery life (20 hours or higher). A headset with a short battery life should be avoided. That negates the wireless aspect. With wired headsets, the cord should reach your Laptop without yanking on your head.
Gaming headset testing—how?
Our How We Test guide covers hardware testing, but here’s a summary.
We test each headset every day for at least a week. We record our voice in Audacity and compare it to other models’ recordings, then go to Discord to obtain comments from our friends. We test a lot of mics and headsets on our SoundCloud. I swear it’s not PC Gamer’s rap.
Throughout that week, we test each headset in many gaming genres, including shooters, battle royales, and racing games. Shooters test the low-end and expose muddiness and distortion, while PUBG et al. is wonderful for positional audio tracking. We listen to plenty of music.
