anker soundcore space q45 wireless headphones review

Anker Soundcore Space Q45 Wireless Headphones are a high-quality audio device designed to provide a seamless listening experience for music enthusiasts, gamers, and professionals. These headphones feature advanced noise-canceling technology, exceptional sound quality, and a comfortable design that allows you to wear them for extended periods.

The Anker Soundcore Space Q45 Wireless Headphones are durable, high-performance headphones with great sound and comfort. They provide a smooth listening experience for work, leisure, and travel. The Anker Soundcore Space Q45 ANC headphones are a great deal at USD 150. Most listeners like the sound. Q45 microphone technology filters background noise better than comparable mid-tier wireless headphones, making it a great work headset. Soundcore’s Space Q45 is good if you can handle the mobile app and sound. This results in a rich, immersive audio experience that brings your music, movies, and games to life.

One of the most impressive features of the Soundcore Space Q45 headphones is the advanced noise-canceling technology. With hybrid active noise-canceling (ANC) technology, these headphones can reduce ambient noise by up to 90%, making them ideal for use in noisy environments. Equipped with Bluetooth 5.0 technology, the Soundcore Space Q45 headphones can easily pair with your smartphone, tablet, or other compatible devices. This enables you to listen to your favorite music, watch movies, or play games without being tethered to your device.

Anker Soundcore Space Q45 Wireless Headphones

8. Our Rating     –       8.3. User Rating

Product information

  • Battery Type – Rechargeable
  • Continuous Battery Life – 27.8 hrs
  • Charge Time – 1.8 hrs
  • Power-Saving Feature – Auto-Off Timer
  • Audio While Charging – No
  • Passive Playback – Yes
  • Charging Port USB-C
  • Product Dimensions 6.34 x 3.46 x 7.44 inches
  • Item Weight 10.4 ounces

The battery life of these headphones is superb. Nevertheless, our measurements showed a far shorter run time than the promised 50 hours with the ANC enabled. Nevertheless, the reduced volume at which the Anker is tested may account for the longer battery life they claim. So, we want to re-evaluate the battery life according to their standards. The headphones’ auto-off timing is also customizable through the app. If the batteries die, you can still use them passively by connecting them to a TRS wire.

Pros:

  • Comfortable over-ear design with soft padding on the earcups and headband
  • Impressive noise-canceling performance that can block out a lot of external noise
  • Decent sound quality with a balanced sound signature
  • Long battery life with fast charging capabilities
  • Touch controls are intuitive and responsive
  • Can be used wirelessly or with a 3.5mm audio cable for a wired connection

Cons:

  • Build quality feels a bit plasticky and not as premium as some other headphones in the same price range
  • ANC performance can produce a noticeable white noise when turned on
  • The Bass could be a bit more punchy and impactful
  • No automatic pause/play feature when taking off or putting on the headphones

App Support

  • App Name: Anker Soundcore
  • iOS Yes
  • Android Yes
  • macOS No
  • Windows No
  • Equalizer Graphic + Presets –
  • ANC Control Adjustable
  • Mic Control No
  • Room Effects No
  • Playback Control No
  • Button Mapping No
  • Surround Support No

If you want to see how the fantastic Anker Soundcore app works, check out this video. The adaptive noise canceling mode and the manual ANC mode, each of which may be adjusted to one of five different strengths, as well as the ANC on, ‘Normal,’ and transparency settings, are all selectable. In addition, you have the option of establishing both a maximum volume and a “safe” level. If you want to play around with the sound, the app has an 8-band visual EQ and some presets to get you started.

Bluetooth

  • Bluetooth Version – 5.3
  • Multi-Device Pairing – 2 Devices
  • NFC Pairing – Yes
  • Line Of Sight Range – 334.65 ft (102.00 m)
  • PC Latency (SBC) 214 ms
  • PC Latency (aptX) N/A
  • PC Latency (aptX HD) N/A
  • PC Latency (aptX-LL) N/A
  • iOS Latency – 150 ms
  • Android Latency – 203 ms

Bluetooth connectivity is top-notch on the Anker Soundcore Space Q45. You can connect them to two different devices at once, and they also work with near-field communication (NFC) for speedier pairing. To reiterate, LDAC does not support the simultaneous pairing of several devices. Nevertheless, they suffer from significant delays on desktop computers and mobile devices running Android and iOS, which may cause video and audio to get out of sync. When they switched to LDAC, their latency dropped to 120 ms. Nevertheless, latency might change based on the gadget and the software being used.

In case your primary method of connection fails, the Anker Soundcore Space Q45 also has a wired 3.5mm jack. You may use any standard USB-C charging cord with the headset. The headset supports a wide variety of Bluetooth codecs, allowing you to pair it with a wide variety of devices. While AAC is the default, the Soundcore software may be used to enable compatibility for SBC and even LDAC (this requires the headset to turn itself off and on again).

Non-Bluetooth Wireless

  • Non-BT Line Of Sight Range – N/A
  • Non-BT Latency – N/A

Connectivity, Wired

  • Analog Audio – Yes
  • USB Audio – No
  • Detachable Yes – Length 3.44 ft (1.05 m)
  • Connection – 1/8″ TRS
  • Analog/USB Audio Latency – 0 ms

You may listen to music or podcasts using the 1/8″ TRS to 1/8″ TRS cable that comes with the headphones. In addition, a USB Type-A to Type-C charging connection is included for when the headphones need to be recharged.

PC Compatibility

  • Analog – Audio Only
  • Wired USB – No
  • Non-BT Wireless – No

These headphones provide complete audio and mic compatibility when paired with a Bluetooth-enabled computer. You can even use their TRS cable to listen to the audio while they’re hardwired in.

PlayStation Compatibility

  • PS4 Analog – Audio Only
  • PS4 Wired USB – No
  • PS4 Non-BT Wireless – No
  • PS5 Analog -Audio Only
  • PS5 Wired USB -No
  • PS5 Non-BT Wireless – No

The only way for the Anker Soundcore Space Q45 to support audio is via its 1/8″ TRS connection, which must be inserted into the AUX port of your PS4 or PS5 controller.

Connectivity, Microphone

Microphone Style

  • Integrated – Yes
  • In-Line – No
  • Boom – No
  • Detachable Boom – No
  • Mic  –  Yes

Recording Quality

  • LFE – 261.43 Hz
  • FR Std. Dev. – 4.6 dB
  • HFE – 3,726.47 Hz
  • Weighted THD – 1.26
  • Gain – 24.02 dB

The quality of the recording made by the mic is just average. Your tone is rather flat, gloomy, and devoid of any kind of depth. Your voice will still come through as reasonably clear, despite the fact that the recording quality isn’t as high as it is with the Anker Soundcore Life Q35 Wireless.

Noise Handling

  • SpNR – 16.13 dB
  • Noise Gate – Always On
  • Speech + Pink Noise Handling – 8.0

The noise-handling capability of the built-in microphone is excellent. If you are taking a call in a loud area, the microphone may help reduce the ambient noise to a minimum, allowing your voice to remain easily discernible and undistorted.

Noise Isolation

All, the Anker Soundcore Space Q45 provides respectable protection from ambient noise. Putting on the headphones performs a passable job of drowning out background noise, such as conversations or soft music. The ANC button on the left ear cup toggles between active noise cancellation and a sound passthrough mode (also known as “transparent mode”). The active noise cancellation (ANC) is adequate, yet it can’t compete with top-tier models like the Sony WH-1000XM5.

The active noise cancellation (ANC) on my Soundcore Space Q45 wireless headphones performs an outstanding job of isolating me from the railway and bus-related noises when I commute. Achieving this type of practical outcome from your headphones demands a snug fit; check that there are no air pockets between the cushioning and your skull.

Anker Soundcore Space Q45 sound?

The headset’s major drawback is its sound quality. After a few minutes, most users get acclimated to the headset’s sound, but it doesn’t compare to other solutions. The frequency response curve deviates significantly from our ideal goal curve over the frequency spectrum. The sub-bass is somewhat accentuated, the midrange depressed, and the higher frequencies are assaulted by an undulating shift in response that makes high-end parts in music seem hissy, betraying the playback accuracy.

Lows, mids, highs

The Anker Soundcore Space Q45’s inconsistent high-end response is its major drawback. This is evident in Arctic Monkeys’ songs like Brainstorm, where the percussion cymbals sound wrong. Nonetheless, that song’s vocals match the frequency response. In certain tunes, like Noisia’s Machine Gun, the mid scoop of about 200 Hz to 500 Hz makes synth tones seem weaker. The minor rise in sub-bass doesn’t particularly assist bass-heavy genres like dance music; however, REZZ’s song Edge sounded better than other more conventional genres owing to its concentration on low bass.

I was wondering how long the battery life is on the Anker Soundcore Space Q45.

The company claims that the battery would last for 65 hours when ANC is turned off and 50 hours when it is turned on. Our tests showed that the headset has a battery life of 55 hours and 48 minutes, well above the manufacturer’s claims. The headset can be quickly recharged, so you won’t ever have to worry about the Space Q45 being useless because the battery runs out.

Is it a good idea to get the Anker Soundcore Space Q45?

The Anker Soundcore Space Q45 is an excellent pair of headphones. The design is pleasant to interact with, the controls are intuitive, and it is pleasant to wear for extended periods of time. First and foremost, the audio quality is inferior to that of competing headsets (but you can EQ it). If you’re accustomed to a higher-quality headset, your favorite tunes may sound a little weird on this one.

Nonetheless, if you can get over it, this headset is a solid option. Maybe you’re more interested in podcasts than music, or maybe you require a headset for airplane travel and would benefit from its emphasis on noise cancellation. The wireless ANC headphones are great, so long as you know what to expect from this headset

ANC technology blocks external noise, making it excellent for airlines, trains, and loud cafés.

Hi, my name is Tina Cavell, and I own Recommend Headphones. I started my first post on Recommend Headphones in 2016. At that time, I had a day off at school and just wanted to share my thoughts about some products I had bought. I was super excited with all the ideas and thoughts inside my head to write that first post. The reason why I chose headphones is that I love the feeling when listening to music with a headset. Another reason comes from people around me.
